Hello, my name is Amy Morgan. I am in my eighth year at Saint Ambrose School. I grew up in Castalia, Ohio (home of the Blue Hole) and went to Bowling Green State University for my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and continued my education at Ashford University where I received a Master’s in Teaching and Learning with Technology. After I graduated from college I moved to North Carolina and taught 1st grade for two years. I am the wife to Ken for 9 years and a mother of a beautiful little girl named Olivia, she is almost 7 and will be starting first grade at Saint Ambrose this year and an energetic 3 year old boy named Kenny. We also have two furry friends, our cats Smokey and Peanut. We enjoy going on family bike rides, going to the beach and traveling to visit our family.
I am the technology integration specialist. Prior to this position I was blessed with the opportunity of teaching
2n d grade to many of our students here at Saint Ambrose for six years.. This is my second year as our technology integration specialist. In this position I promote the use of technologies to support student achievement in all of our classrooms. I also work to provide support to all of our staff in the area of technology. Throughout the course of the year I provide professional development opportunities to provide various experiences for growth in technology integration into the classrooms. I also am the coordinator of our distance learning lab. Our students have a wonderful opportunity to participate in virtual field trips and global opportunities integrated with what they are learning in their classrooms. We also are offering a high school geometry class to a group of eighth graders in our distance learning lab this year. While in this position I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with all of our teachers and students at Saint Ambrose School.
