The Fifth Grade Students had a day of fellowship and fun as they learned about the Gifts of the Holy Spirit as celebrated in Confirmation and Pentecost. The students spent a full day in retreat making crafts, a video and acting out skits that showcased how the Gifts of the Spirit can be used in their lives. The students engaged in activities to promote teaching their peers in the 4th grade as they witness to them about the good news of Jesus, just as the apostles were commissioned to do. Other service projects that stemmed from the day included celebrating birthdays with area residents at Willowood and PearlView Nursing homes, as a way to show celebration of the Birthday of the Church, Pentecost.
