Saint Ambrose School Named One of Top 18 Exemplar Schools in the U.S.!!!
P21 in Washington Recognizes Saint Ambrose Catholic School as a 21st Century Learning Exemplar for 2019!
Saint Ambrose School continues to lead in 21st Century Learning and education. On April 30th, Saint Ambrose School and Littlest Angels Preschool were honored at a recognition ceremony in Washington DC as one of 18 schools across the U.S. and the only elementary school in Ohio for their outstanding practices in education as 21st Century Learning Exemplars! This award ceremony was a celebration of the initial announcement and designation back in February.
Updated April 30, 2019– The Partnership for 21st Century Learning (P21) has highlighted 18 early learning centers, K–12 schools, districts and beyond school programs in the U.S. as 21st Century Learning Exemplars for 2019. Saint Ambrose Catholic School earned this award for outstanding practices in equipping learners with the necessary skills and knowledge for success in high school, college, career and life.
Saint Ambrose Catholic School, one of the 18 named 21st Century Learning Exemplars, has demonstrated an exceptional implementation of the Framework for 21st Century Learning or the Early Learning Framework.
Principal Lisa Cinadr and Assistant Principal Chris Dziedzicki traveled to Washington DC this week to attend the recognition ceremony to celebrate this distinction as the only Ohio School to receive this year’s award. Principal Cinadr and Assistant Principal Dziedzicki are so excited to celebrate our P21 Exemplar award with our Littlest Angels Preschool and Saint Ambrose School students, faculty, staff, families, parish and partners! Thank YOU!
Saint Ambrose Administration, Faculty and staff were excited by this announcement and affirmation of all of the exciting things and hard work happening at Saint Ambrose School.

Saint Ambrose educators also responded to the great news. “P21, to me, validates good teaching which uses best practice and forward thinking!” Chris Mullen, Director of High School Prep and Math Chair shared. “Working at a P21 school is an invigorating experience to know we as educators are able to provide a one of a kind education to our students and one that will carry them through to the next level”, provided Technology Director, Mrs. Amy Morgan, who just returned from speaking to educators at the Ohio Educational Technology Conference in Columbus.
“Since 2015, STEM Accelerated Coding has worked with Saint Ambrose School to provide computer science, GIS, and makerspace solutions that help solve real world problems within the community. As a partner in education, it has been a rewarding experience offering internships, College Credit Plus computer science courses, adverse childhood experiences/social-emotional innovative solutions [The Angel Project], and collaborative work with grants through NASA and NOAA. I am grateful to work with a futuristic entity that welcomes innovation and promotes success in college, career, and life. I am also honored to be part of an organization that is being nationally recognized as a P21 Exemplar School”, Mrs. Beth Szijarto, CEO of STEM Accelerated Coding.

The President and CEO of Battelle for Kids also released the following statement regarding this year’s top awardees and their rigorous selection process.
“Since 2013, P21’s 21st Century Learning Exemplar Program has been identifying and elevating examples of quality 21st century learning. Each year innovative education models are showcased to help other educators do better for every student,” said Karen Garza, President and CEO of Battelle for Kids.
As part of celebrating the best practices from these awardees, Battelle for Kids will develop a case study brief for each exemplar site and release it to the public for free download. The 21stCentury Learning Exemplars, P21, and Battelle for Kids will also share insights and updates via this Twitter hashtag: #P21Exemplar
