On Friday students in third grade wrapped up math topic 1 in class with a project in both classrooms pairing 107 and 104 students together. Students in 107 were in charge and picked their own partners for this fun “Web Quest” project. Together they used the Chromebooks to visit the Fact Monster website and research different topics. They learned how to find the main topic of a questions and use search skills on the internet to find the answers they needed. Once they found the height of the Statue of Liberty, or other things asked of them- they had to use their math skills from topic 1 to expand, write, and do other related things with the numbers. They loved being able to spend this time together and work with students they may not get to work with as much as they did last year.
