The 5th graders had their yearly retreat on Friday; the theme was taking care of God’s creations. What a spiritual and peaceful way to end the school week. Activities included: making dogs toys to be donated to a local rescue group, creating shaving cream art to be given to the guests at the community meals, visiting with a service dog and his owner, eating lunch together, and praying together as family with a prayer service. A BIG SHOUT OUT to all the parent helpers at the retreat; you are all AWESOME!!!
The students were also displaying great examples of KINDNESS this week by helping others read a book and stopping to pick up dropped school supplies. Way to go, Angels!!!
