Another fun and active experiment the third grade students took part in with Unit 1 was an overlap with Math and Science standards. Students learned how to use measurement tools properly, choose the best unit and tool to measure with, and how to measure items that are different shapes, sizes, and textures. They loved measuring the snake and the classroom the best. They were so excited to push the desks aside and get to measuring after all the preparation in the steps 1-3 of the inquiry process! They used two tools and two different units to measure each of the five given items.
