Students in grades K-8 have been working on our climate change research project this week. They learned about droughts, sea ice, and global temperatures. Historical and present satellite imagery were also explored through ArcGIS or Google Earth.

Students researched what climate change is, what their moral responsibility is to take care of the environment, and what they can do to help the environment. They documented their research in Google Docs. Students watched video snippets from the National Geographic documentary, “Before the Flood” to learn more about climate change. After completing research and watching the presentation, students were able to develop and analyze maps.
