Students in grades K-8 learned about Hurricane Matthew using ArcGIS! They saw disaster maps and were able to learn about how to select layers for additional information. Students were also given Individual Growth options.
Students in 7th and 8th grade (also available during Independent Growth options for other grades) learned about cryptography through Khan Academy or CIA.gov!
Students enjoyed the photo analysis lessons and they learned that the CIA employs people to do this type of work!
7th and 8th graders started their corporate projects that are helping preschool students learn the alphabet, numbers, and patterns! Students are building apps using MIT App Inventor (and Scratch) to include favorite preschool themes so as to interest preschool students. Students are developing apps with the following themes: Mickey Mouse, Frozen, Bubble Guppies, Sesame Street, Avengers, Finding Dory, Paw Patrol, Spiderman/Villans, Scooby-Doo.
