Dear Parents and Friends,
It’s so good to be together.  We welcomed our Littlest Angels Preschool students to school this week.  The halls are truly full of the Holy Spirit!

It was a warm one yesterday wasn’t it?  The months of snow, ice and frozen toes seem far away.  Many thanks again to Universal Windows Direct for providing our new windows that cut down the heat and make the classrooms more comfortable!  As a reminder, please send a water bottle with your child.  The weather forecast is not as hot today, but teachers may take students to the church, Hilkert Hall, the DLL, outside in the shade, the library, etc. as options outside of the classroom. If you choose, today your child may wear SAS spirit shirts, SAS spirit shorts and tennis shoes with socks. Many thanks also to Mrs. Bremmer, Nick Castro and Brian Schaefer who helped take cold water to the students and teachers yesterday afternoon.  We will enjoy popsicles together today – sssshhhhhh, it’s a surprise!  Please see the label ingredients below.

Mother Teresa said, “We can do small things with great love.”   We celebrate our grandparents this Sunday and thank them for the countless ways – small and large – they serve their families and share their legacy of love. How can we serve the Lord, our families and our communities with great love? There are many opportunities to serve and one way is to become an Extraordinary Minister of Communion.  We have two people who have recently signed up since I asked a couple of weeks ago. We need help to distribute the Precious Body and Blood of Christ at school and at Sunday liturgies.  A training will be held here at Saint Ambrose Parish onOctober 20, 7:00-9:30 p.m. There are other training sessions offered between September 25 through October 23 at other parishes within the Diocese. Contact Deacon Gary at gtomazic@stambrose.us for more information. Please prayerfully consider assisting us at the Table of the Lord. Please join us tonight at our PTU-sponsored, “Family Focus Safety Night.”  Beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Lehner Center John, David Frattare will speak about internet and child safety, representatives from Brunswick Police and Fire Departments will speak and I will give a brief explanation of safety plans in place here at Saint Ambrose School. Students will receive a “Spirit Day” pass if their parents attend.
It’s almost “Club Season”!  I know students are getting excited about this wonderful tradition of after school fun and learning. Watch for information coming home soon.
We pray for healing, peace and hope in the Lord on Patriot Day as we remember the 15th anniversary of September 11. May God bless America!
We are so blessed here at SAS! May all that we do be a prayer of thanksgiving for God’s promises to us.  May our promise to Him be a response of joyful excellence and faithful discipleship.
Blessings,
Mrs. Lisa Cinadr, Principal
