Littlest Angels Preschool Mission Statement

2025-2026 Priority Enrollment- Opens January 10, 2025!

Enrollment continues to take place online! Click the REGISTER ONLINE button (beginning January 10) to enroll your child and pay the registration fee online. You will receive an email confirmation of your registration.

Please create an account in the Digital Academy as part of your application process to Saint Ambrose Littlest Angels Preschool on the date you are eligible to enroll.

PRIORITY ENROLLMENT: Opens January 10, 2025 at midnight.
For our school, preschool and registered parish families.
Any submissions attempted prior will not be saved or recorded in our system.

OPEN ENROLLMENT: February 7, 2025, until spots are filled.
For non-member families outside our parish and school.

Tuition plans are due at the time of enrollment application along with a $100 non-refundable registration fee.

Please note that due to the growing size of our preschool and increased interest in our Kindergarten program, that Kindergarten placement is not gauranteed to preschool students.

Angels in Training: Age 2

2 Year Old Children with a Parent or Guardian

Our “Angels in Training” Parent/Guardian and Preschooler Program is a social, safe, and fun learning experience that is an introduction to preschool for children and parents/guardians. The program is a wonderful way to bond with your little angels and other parents/guardians while bridging the gap between home and school before entering Littlest Angels Preschool in the following fall. This class is appropriate for students who will be turning 3 during this school year.

Saturdays 9:30-10:30am

TWO SESSIONS AVAILABLE FOR 2024-2025:
Fall/Winter Session Semester 1– 10 classes $125
Spring/Summer Session Semester 2
– 10 classes $125

Littlest Angels Preschool: Ages 3, 4, 5 Pre-K

Our Littlest Angels Preschool encourages the development of the mind, body and soul of young children. We believe every child is a precious gift from God. Our program facilitates interaction with other children and adults, in an atmosphere of Christian love and concern, which promotes the healthy development of each child.

At Littlest Angels Preschool we prepare three, four, and five year-old children to:

  • Acquire foundational cognitive skills by learning through 21st Century learning experiences in: Math, Science, Language, Social Sciences, Religion, Art, Music, physical movement, and play.
  • Begin to develop an understanding of Christian values and citizenship.
  • Use technology: we have Chromebooks in the classroom and utilize technology.
  • Effectively communicate and socialize with their peers.
  • Successfully transition to Kindergarten

Littlest Angels Preschool has a licensed teaching staff with over 100 years of combined teaching experience and provides enrichment opportunities from certified specialists.

*Preschool children must be age 3 by July 31 to be eligible for preschool. All children must be potty trained.

2 Year Old (1 Day)

• 9:30am-10:30am Saturdays (with a parent)
Tuition: $125 for 10 weeks- Fall and Spring sessions.

3 Year Old (2 Days, half day only)

• 8:00am-10:30am T/TH
• 11:30am-2:00pm T/TH
Tuition: $1,600 annual, $160 monthly

4 Year Old (3 Days, half day)

• 8:00am-10:30am M/W/F
• 11:30am-2:00pm M/W/F
Tuition: $2,100 annual, $210 monthly

4 Year Old (3 Days, full day)

• 8:00am-2:00pm M/W/F
Tuition: $4,400 annual, $440 monthly

4 Year Old (5 Days, half day)

• 8:00am-10:30am M – F
Tuition: $2,800 annual, $280 monthly
Must be age 4 before August 1st.

4 Year Old (5 Days, full day)

Tuition: $5,400 annual, $540 monthly

5 Year Old (5 Days, half day)

2024-2025 Fees Per Student

Due by August 1st, payable via your Digital Academy Account. Fees are non-refundable after the start of the school year.

• $25 Student Service Fee per student
– This covers classroom parties, annual PTU membership and misc student supplies.

• $25 Field Trip Fee per student
-Covers two field trips for one student and adult.

Littlest Angels Preschool has earned a 5 STAR Step Up To Quality Rating from the Ohio Department of Education Office of Early Learning and School Readiness!  This is the highest rating available for early childhood education programs in the state of Ohio.  A Step Up To Quality Five-Star rating means that Littlest Angels Preschool provides a program that has demonstrated the highest level of quality available and exceeds the state standards.

Mrs. Catherine Mitchell has had the privilege of teaching in the diocese of Cleveland for 25 years. After graduating from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education, Catherine taught first and second grade at Saint John Bosco School before coming to Saint Ambrose to open Littlest Angels Preschool 16 years ago! Catherine is the director of the preschool program as well as teaching three year and four year old classes. Catherine and her husband Dennis are active parishioners of Saint Ambrose and have three children.

Mrs. Melissa Yarmesch has been a member of the Saint Ambrose School Faculty/Staff for the last 14 years, with 12 of those years at Littlest Angels Preschool as a Lead Teacher.

Melissa has taught Kindergarten, Preschool 4’s and Preschool 5’s. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Ohio University. Melissa and her husband have 3 wonderful children.

Hi! I am so happy to be working at Saint Ambrose School, a family I have been a part of since my oldest was in Kindergarten in 2011. I have been a member of the IA team since 2017 and added a role in LAPS in 2022. I am from Parma, OH and graduated from Baldwin Wallace.

My previous work experience was in HR for Cleveland Catholic Charities. My husband, Brian, and I have 3 children, all who started their education here at SAS. We are kept busy running to all their activities, including CYO sports! Go Angels!

Mrs. Pamela Jeffi

Preschool Teacher

Mrs. Pamela Jeffi joined Littlest Angels Preschool in 2019 as a lead teacher.  She graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Human Development and Family science and has had many experiences in the field of Early Childhood Education.  Mrs. Jeffi, along with her husband and three daughters, are active members of Saint Ambrose.

Mrs. Sherri Petrigac

Preschool Teacher

Mrs. Sherri Petrigac has been in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 31 years. She completed her degree in 1989. She is starting her 12th year at LAPS.

Sherri and her husband are active members of Saint Ambrose Church and School. They have 3 children.  She loves to listen to Christian music. She is a big fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She loves to spend time with her family and relaxing in the sun.

Miss Megan Franc

Miss Megan Franc has obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education at Baldwin Wallace University This will be her 5th year at Littlest Angels Preschool working with the 3’s, 4’s, Guardian Angels and Angels in Training program. She is also an active member of Saint Ambrose Parish. She is happy to join our Littlest Angels Preschool staff working in the Guardian Angels program. Megan is an active member of Saint Ambrose Parish, you may have seen her making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for those in need.

Mrs. Kris Mick has been with the preschool for 9 years as an instructional aide.  Kris and her husband, Chris, have two children.  They have been members of Saint Ambrose Parish since they moved to Brunswick in 1998.

Emma is  starting her 4th year at Littlest Angels Preschool. She is an Educational Aide for our Pre-K five year old students during the day and work for the Guardian Angels Aftercare Program.

She  loves cheering for Cleveland sports teams and SAS teams as well. In my free time.

She enjoys walking her dog, Nala, taking pictures, and spending time with family.

Miss Dana Cassell is excited and honored to be working with Saint Ambrose Littlest Preschool. She has been teaching for over ten years and coaching just as long.

She loves to volunteer and loves being part of Saint Ambrose Parish. She is excited to see what this year will bring.

Educational Aide

I grew up in a family of 8 children.  I attended Catholic grade school K-8. and played school as a child with my sisters and taught my dolls and stuffed animals while my brothers played church. I continued to learn up to a Masters Degree for the love of learning. Working at the Littlest Angels preschool is the perfect blend of all the things I love in life.

I enjoy playing golf, reading and entertaining family and friends!

MaryJo Weihrouch

LAPS Guardian Angels

MaryJo and her husband Russ moved to Brunswick from Parma in 2013. While living in Parma Mary Jo was a teacher for the Sunday School program for 18 years. Moving to Brunswick Mary Jo worked in the school lunchroom and has been a teacher for the Journey With Jesus and Vacation Bible School programs.

MaryJo attended Tri-C College taking Early Childcare classes hoping to work with young children. For the past seven years Mary Jo has worked the Guardian Angels program at St. Ambrose and substituted for the preschool. Mary Jo enjoys working the after school program at the preschool. She loves seeing the children’s faces when they complete an activity (craft, painting pictures, playing games) at GA.

She was recently given the St. Teresa of Calcutta Staff Excellence Award.
