WINTER SKILLS OPPORTUNITIES
KINDERGARTEN SPORTS
We will be continuing Kindergarten sports on Tuesdays right after school until 4 pm. This will be an 8 week program focusing on basketball, t ball, soccer, and lacrosse.
SOCCER
Our soccer skills program will continue working on fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting and inbounds. We will also focus on the strategy of the game in small group setting. Skills will be provided on Friday afternoons until 4pm.
BASEBALL
Baseball skills will continue with a focus more on hitting and a continued concentration on in field play and base running. These sessions will be on Thursdays after school until 4 pm.
LACROSSE
Lacrosse skills will review fundamentals of the game.We will work on passing, catching, ground balls and game fundamentals. We will get support from Burning River Lacrosse for some of these sessions. Sessions will be after school on Wednesdays until 4pm
BASKETBALL
Basketball skills will be an advanced program for skilled players. Mike Klinzing and his team of HEAD Start Basketball will be supporting this joint venture with his team to provide small group review on multiple in game reactionary fundamentals. This will be in conjunction with our training team that will add a conditioning aspect after skill review. This will be an hour and a half course for 8 weeks. This program will be on Monday nights at 7pm.
SPORTS CONDITIONING
Saint Ambrose Athletic Boosters has begun to offer conditioning for adults and youth. Whether you are trying to lean out or bulk up we build and implement the program. If you are an athlete looking to advance your ability in sports we can help achieve your goals. Our trainers have worked at the collegiate level for conditioning athletes of different sports. Our programs are tailored to the sport and goals of the athlete. We have various equipment to perform muscle confusion and utilize weights, bands, and cardio for better health.
The St. Ambrose – Head Start Basketball FUNdamental League is for boys and girls in grades k-2.

The program will offer a 60 minute skills training session followed by 30 minutes of 3 on 3 half-court games.

League Highlights:
- 6 week League playing every Saturday starting January 9 and ending February 13.
- 60-minute skill sessions every week with the Head Start Basketball Coaching Staff.

- Individual attention is given to each player.
