This December we were able to experience so many wonderful things at St. Ambrose. We had a visit from Joe Kolecki, one of Bob Gillingham’s friends. He has worked dual careers in planetary science (NASA) and music (church and university); had national and international involvement in my technical programs; spent a year in Washington DC; worked with the Congress for a brief time; taught across a worldwide network via interactive television (Distant Learning Network); and currently is retired from NASA, teach the sciences at Tri-C, play music in various churches and at Baldwin College (vocal accompanist), and more…. WOW!! Students in third grade spend the afternoon with him learning about various Science topics and were able to openly ask questions to such an experienced and expertise mind.
