Visual Art Update for Monday, Wednesday & Friday May 20, 22 & 24th
Preschool: Graduation
Kindergarten, First,Second & Third: : Students learned about the Sistine Chapel. They created artwork under their desks to simulate Michelangelo’s ceiling painting the Sistine Chapel. Each student recognized and described the relationship of artworks to their social and cultural contexts.
Fourth: Each student finished their insect drawing. Afterwards, they started a WEBQUEST on the chromebooks to learn about art history.
Fifth: Students explored Art History while taking a web journey to the Louvre and to seeing the virtual images from all over the world.
Sixth: In collaboration with religion class students designed a cover for a children’s book. The theme pertained to Bible Story imagery.
Seventh: Students worked in groups to create a sculpture part of our PBL with Mr. Mullen.
Eighth: Students explored Art History while taking a web journey to the Louvre and to seeing the virtual images from all over the world.
