Visual Art Update for Wednesday and Friday May 21st, 23rd and 25th

Preschool: Students explored chalking Zoo animals on the pavement outdoors.

Kindergarten and First:Students explored connections with engineering a bicycle. They developed their own unique style.

Second: Mrs. Shreves’ class had a field trip (no art classes). Mrs. Kubas’s class created artwork in motion. They engineered their own bicycle. They used their imagination to create accessories and a foreground, middleground and background.

Third: Students reflected and critiques their tree house drawing.What is Two Point Perspective?
Two point perspective drawing is a type of linear perspective. Linear perspective is a method using lines to create the illusion of space on a 2D surface. There are three types of linear perspective. One point perspective uses one vanishing point placed on the horizon line. Two point perspective uses two points placed on the horizon line. Three point perspective uses three vanishing points.

Fourth: Each student earned class participation points to finish their artwork.

Fifth: Students completed a two point perspective drawing of a tree house.

HSP: Students finished their zentangle project.
Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Almost anyone can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well being. The Zentangle method is enjoyed all over this world across a wide range of skills, interests and ages.
