Visual Art Update for Wednesday & Friday December 4th, 6th & 8th

Preschool: Students created a pastel drawing of Baby Jesus.

Kindergarten: Each student designed their own three dimensional angel. They were asked “What is an angel?”. We talked about the fact that angels bring messages from God.

First: Each student recognized and analyzed connections off math and art while designing their own gingerbread house.

Second: Students learned about the “Nativity”. They painted a Nativity Scene.

Third: Students combined the elements and principles of art to create a two point perspective drawing of a church.

Fourth: Students demonstrated skills through the integration of math and art. They measured areas and experimented with perspective.They engineered their own gingerbread house.

Fifth: Students acquired basic knowledge and experience with symmetrical skills while engineering their own gingerbread house.

Sixth, Seventh, Eighth: Students created Parabolic Curves Using Straight Lines while constructing a 3-D artwork. They used yarn to create geometrical abstract designs.
