11 Saint Ambrose School Faculty Members Received 2020 Governor’s Thomas Edison Award for Excellence in STEM and Student Research!

During the spring quarter, Saint Ambrose School faculty responded in an epic way – in true SAS style – to our students, school family and each other to provide the highest levels of excellence in care and teaching. We maintained the integrity of the “business of school” by providing live lessons and office hours via Google Meet, technological support for all learners, love, grace and mercy, the fidelity of our grading scale … and so much more.

Even more inspiring: our school and a number of our teachers recently received the Governor’s Thomas Edison Awards for STEM and Student Research for their work during the past school year. While this is traditionally a prestigious award, this year’s is a step above due to what was accomplished virtually as a result of the shutdown amid the pandemic.

We are so proud of our faculty and students!

Ohio Academy Of Science STATE DAY

A special shout out goes to students McKenna and Riley. They competed as Fifth Grade students virtually at the Ohio Academy of Science District Science Day, and then Riley went on to compete virtually at the Ohio Academy of Science STATE Science Day in early May. Riley put the “icing on the cake with sprinkles” for this recognition for our school.
