The fourth-graders had the opportunity to take an awesome virtual field trip in the distance learning lab via the Ohio History Connection. The program was called “Can She Trust You?” This trip took students back to 1850s Ohio, and their task was to help an escaped slave find the Underground Railroad conductor who was going to help her. The students met several characters, played by real actors, and they had the chance to ask them several pertinent questions about their politics, views, family life, jobs and more, in an effort to figure out which person was the conductor. The students had a wonderful time and asked some thought-provoking questions!
