Mimbres, which means “willows” in Spanish, is the name given to a cottonwood- and willow-lined river in southwestern New Mexico. The very spectacular pottery found in and around the Mimbres Valley also came to be called Mimbres, and the name was soon applied to the people who made the pottery.
Fifth: Students presented their famous artists. They discussed works of art using artistic terminology.

What is his or her most significant contribution to art?
How is his or her culture reflect their artwork?
How did his or her personal life experiences affect their artwork?
Afterwards, students created cards for the people with addictions. We discussed the “treasures of Catholic Faith”. The Corporal Works of Mercy and the Seven Themes of Catholic Social Teaching.
