Saint Ambrose School and campus received a generous donation of a new flag and flag pole for their grotto from VFW #9520. Area veterans, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Brunswick Police and students gathered in a beautiful dedication ceremony of a new flag for our community Tuesday afternoon, October 3rd.
On a cloudless, summer-like day Saint Ambrose School received a new flag pole and flag for their grotto. This generous donation came from the VFW #9520. The entire student body, VFW Post 9520, American Legion Post 234, a member of the Strongsville VFW, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, members of the Brunswick Police Department, and trumpeters from Padua Franciscan High School were all present for the flag dedication and blessing.
All in attendance prayed for our nation and gave thanks for our freedoms. Josh Cochrac, Seminary Intern reminded all that “The American flag is testimony to the great privilege we all have to live in the United States. May God bless America with peace, strength, and unity”. We thank all who took time in their day to come and celebrate this generous donation of our nation’s flag, honoring everything it stands for all all who serve under it. One Nation, under God.
