WE ARE INSPIRED BY THE SAINTS!

Mr. Bagley: “St. Phillip Neri once said, ‘Never say ‘What great things the saints do,’ but what great things God does in His saints.’ This is the beauty of holiness–holiness does not make us great, it makes God great through us. The lives of saints are the testimony of God’s greatness. They should inspire us every day to imitate their ‘yes to God.’ May you be attentive to their witness, and become inspired yourself! We can be holy. We can be saints. We can give God a daily ‘yes!'”

Keegan: :A saint who inspires me is St. Ignatius of Loyola. He inspires me because he shared a deep relationship with God through his writings. When I look at his life, I am inspired to be more intimate with Jesus., because St. Ignatius shows that no matter how low you can be, Jesus can save you.”

Ava: “A saint who inspires me is St. Cecilia. She inspires me because she has had a profound love for Jesus since she was a little kid. When I look at her life, I am inspired to be more like St. Cecilia in my love for Jesus, because I want to live a faith-filled life like her. I am working on my love and faith in Jesus, and I feel like she is a good person to aspire to be like.”

Matthew: “A saint who inspires me is St. Pope John Paul II. He inspires me because he strived his whole life to bring the peace of Christ and Mary to the world by ending communism, helping to end the Cold War, and by living a devout life for the Blessed Mother. When I look at his life, I am inspired to live more poured out to Christ and Mary because of the actions he took to have a deep devotion to Our Mother, showing the world a great example.”

Lily: “A saint who inspires me is St. Anthony. He inspires me because he stayed close to God through the hard tests of life. When I look at his life, I am inspired to be more patient with life’s journey, because everything lost turns up with a little prayer and patience.”
