Annual Priority and Early Admissions Eligibility: Saint Ambrose School and Littlest Angels Preschool

The following families will be given priority enrollment consideration to Saint Ambrose School and Littlest Angels Preschool in the below order. ( Priority Enrollment Opens EVERY JANUARY TO THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS)

1. Current Saint Ambrose School students and siblings.**
2. Current Littlest Angels Preschool families.***
3. Registered members of Saint Ambrose Parish.
4. Registered members of Saint Colette Parish.
5. Families transferring from another catholic school.
6. Out of parish enrollment opens in February and is based on remaining availability and considered in order of receipt.

We are blessed with a large, thriving, and growing parish member community, in addition to our growing and excellent preschool. Our Kindergarten class size remains limited. Due to this, applications are quite competitive. Younger siblings of our current students receive guaranteed placement in Kindergarten. We desire to meet the needs of our preschool and parish families seeking Kindergarten placement; however, placement is not guaranteed. Families outside our parish and school community applying during Open Enrollment should anticipate a waiting list placement.

Age Eligibility
Students who are five (5) years old by August 1st or age-eligible to attend Saint Ambrose School All-Day Kindergarten. Preschool Students must be 3 years old by August 1st and completely potty trained.

PRESCHOOL AND K-8 APPLICATIONS ARE ONLINE ONLY; BOTH ARE ACCESSED BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT IN THE DIGITAL ACADEMY!

ENROLLMENT LINK FOR 2026-2027 OPENS ONLINE ANNUALLY IN JANUARY FOR PRESCHOOL AND FOR K-8.
We typically have a waitlist that generates very quickly for Kindergarten each year. All the below steps will be completed within the ONLINE registration portal through Digital Academy.

1. –CREATE AN ACCOUNT IN DIGITAL ACADEMY AND COMPLETE AN ENROLLMENT APPLICATION.
   -Add New Prospective Student(s).
   -Add Family Information.
   -Pay the Registration Fee ($100 before by January 30th; $150 beginning February 1, and thereafter per student, Non-Refundable).-Receive a confirmation email that registration is complete.
2. -NEW FAMILIES SCHEDULE A MEETING WITH PRINCIPAL CINADR.
   You will be contacted to schedule a New Prospective Parent Interview with Principal Cinadr (PRESCHOOL-7). Incoming new students in grades 6-8 are also required to attend. 8th Grade transfer admission is by special consideration only.
3. RECEIVE AND COMPLETE TUITION AGREEMENT FORMS.
   Families are required to complete and return tuition agreements within 2 weeks to retain admissions spots.
4. APPLY FOR EDCHOICE SCHOLARSHIP (K-8) . Please visit our Scholarships page HERE for information and deadlines. Please ensure completed registration is submitted PRIOR to applying for any scholarships. Please complete the EdChoice application first, followed by any additional scholarships you may also qualify for. Families who choose not to apply for EdChoice, may not be considered for other scholarships, and understand they will incur a higher tuition out of pocket expense.
5. APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID AND ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS IF NEEDED(K-8). Please ensure completed registration submitted prior to applying for financial aid to avoid delays in the financial aid process, and to secure a class placement or waiting list placement. 6. CONFIRMATION OF ACCEPTANCE AND WAITING LIST BY MAIL.
   We will contact you to confirm admission to the school and or waitlist status after the new family meetings have been completed. Those who apply during priority enrollment will have admission letters mailed annually in late March.

MAP TESTING PRIOR TO ATTENDING
Incoming New Students in grades 1-8 without previous MAP testing information will need to attend a scheduled testing date during Summer on dates set prior to the first day of school.

CLASS ASSIGNMENTS
Class and Teacher Assignments are provided via email.
Preschool and Kindergarten- early June.
Grades 1-8- early August.

November 2, 2025– Fall Open House For Prospective Families. 10am-12:00pm both preschool and K-8 campuses.

November 13, 2025– Kindergarten Information Night-Learn more about our program and meet the teachers! VIRTUAL EVENT BY RSVP. This event occurs virtually from 6:30 pm- 8:00 pm.

November 17, 2025- HSP Middle School Information Night- Meet the faculty and learn more about 6th-8th Grade at Saint Ambrose School! VIRTUAL EVENT BY RSVP. This event occurs virtually from 6:30 pm- 7:30 pm.

November 20, 2025– Preschool Information Night-Learn more about our LAPS program and meet the teachers! VIRTUAL EVENT BY RSVP. This event occurs virtually from 6:30 pm- 7:30 pm.

January 9, 2026– WINTER ENROLLMENT KICK-OFF ONLINE . Priority Enrollment begins for current Saint Ambrose School and Preschool Families, Saint Ambrose Parishioners and Saint Colette Parishioners-Preschool and Grades K- 8 will ENROLL ONLINE **

January 9, 2025– PRIORITY ENROLLMENT BEGINS for parish members.

January 2025- If Financial Aid is needed (Available for Grades K-8 Only) Please apply early to ensure timely processing and notification prior to payment plan responsibilities which begin annually in July.

January 30, 2026-Deadline for Priority Enrollment.**

January 31, 2026– LAPS Catholic Schools Week Preschool Open Enrollment Open House 10am-11:30am (RSVP).

February 2026– Please apply for financial aid and scholarships after successfully submitting an online enrollment application. Please apply for EdChoice Scholarships first. Apply for any additional scholarships for grades K-8 once Enrollment is complete if needed.

February 6, 2026– Open Enrollment begins based on remaining space and availability, first come first served.

**First priority guaranteed to all current Saint Ambrose School and Preschool families through January 30.

*** While priority consideration for kindergarten is granted to families attending Littlest Angels Preschool, it DOES NOT guarantee admission to Saint Ambrose School K-8.

The Week of March 16-20, 2026– Acceptance and Waitlist letters postmarked and mailed via USPS to families with early enrollment and completed interviews. (Preschool-8th grade)

March 30-April 6, 2026- Saint Ambrose School Closed for Easter Break. (Preschool-8th Grade)

April 2026- IA team will be contacting all families to confirm receipt of Acceptance and or Waitlist letters and placement after spring break.

Spring-Summer 2026– Late Enrollment and Interviews will continue as space allows.

August 2026 TBD– Kindergarten Parent Orientation and School Supply Drop-off(mandatory parent only meeting)

August 2026 TBD– Back To School Spirit Sunday Family Mass and Picnic.

August 2026 TBD– First Day of School for the school year. TBD

Transfer Student Policy
All transfer admissions are subject to the approval of the Principal and based on criteria that include acceptable school records in academic, psychological, attendance and conduct matters. Transfer admissions are also based on space availability. The Saint Ambrose School administration holds the right to require specific assessments for entrance into its academic program. All transfer students are accepted on probationary status for the first interim period or longer if necessary to assess whether or not the school program will best support the student’s learning and development.
