It’s hard to believe that the first week of school is already behind us!
We had a wonderful week getting to know each other and making new friends! We even concluded the week with a wonderful class lunch picnic thanks to Fr. Bob and Mrs. Cinadr! :)
In addition to learning about first grade and classroom routines, we were introduced to the Super Kids and began to learn about the Fruits of the Spirit which will be taught and practiced throughout the school this year. This week we heard a Bible story which emphasized the fruits of love, peace and joy. We also began to create our own Fruits of the Spirit book.
All of the children created amazing puppets for their summer reading assignment. After talking to each child about the story he or she read, we will be displaying all of the puppets in our classroom.
I’m looking forward to many more wonderful activities and learning experiences this school year! :)
