Last week in ELA we reviewed story elements. The 6th graders are creating an illustration of the various plot elements. In 7th grade we created an All About Me seal utilizing symbols that represent their family, interests, faith and future. The 8th graders read a short story. This week they will create a character creature based on the characteristics of the main character in the story we read.
Please keep the 8th grade in your prayers as they have a retreat on Wednesday. The 6th grade begins their first vocabulary unit this week. Later in the week, the 7th grade will learn background information for the novel The Outsiders.
Summer reading is due Tuesday, September 6. If handed in early, the students will receive extra credit. Cooler weather is coming toward the end of the week. :)
