Third graders are currently studying numbers in the first topic of third grade math. They are learning how to read and name up to six digit numbers in different ways. They are expanding, writing, and drawing numbers with a focus on place value. The best part is that they are working hands on with the place value blocks. I have met with students one-on-one many times this week to get more in-depth on this topic depending on their individual mastery status with this.
*The first math test this year will be on Wednesday, September 14.
