Students in room 107 took a field trip last week to Pennsylvania’s Longwood Gardens. They explored the life cycle of a plant from seed to flower. We were given a tour behind-the-scenes at Longwood Gardens and discovered how the horticulturalists prepare some spectacular displays that student are even more interested in seeing in person now! During the curriculum-based lesson portion we got to explore a plant’s life through video, images, and hands-on activities.
Although we have not started our plant unit in science, we had a great introduction that we had to take advantage of before the weather would no longer permit it. Check out some of the pictures from this exiting activity…
