This week in Visual Art for Monday, Wednesday, & Friday November 14th, 16th, 18th
Preschool: Students utilized the DLL. They experimented with the tablets using a virtual pottery APP.
Kindergarten and First:
Students learned how to problem solve using the shape of a triangle.Each student identified with patterns, angles, and shapes. They repeated the triangular shape forming a tree.
Second: Each student learned how the principle of design “Variety” plays an important role in creating a composition in art. Students created a winter scene using snow covered trees. Students identified with patterns in more than one circumstance. They demonstrated repetition components of a pattern.
Third: Students designed their houses. Next week students will strategically place their houses next to each other to make a city. This will be a collaborative work of art.
Fourth: Students improved their skills while arranging images with combined text to create a cover for St Ambrose Parish Christmas Cards.
Fifth: Each student created a fall scene using the mono-printing method. They displayed simple space, the foreground, middle ground, and the background.

Sixth: Each student worked on their Saint drawing. They provided 5 facts about their Saint.
Seventh: Students worked on their architectural drawings of a building. They utilized the class time to add special features to their dwellings. They seemed to really enjoy adding the details to each section.

Eighth: Homeroom 202 created their own acrylic painting. Inspired by Catholic Faith. Students showed their influence / inspiration in their work.They mixed colors and determined what areas needed more details.
Homeroom 201 Class was shortened due to the Thanksgiving Feast. Students designed a Christmas Card Cover for St Ambrose Parishioners.
