What a wonderful time of year it is! We are so busy and are learning so many things on a daily basis. Most importantly, we are preparing our hearts for Jesus to come at Christmas. Advent is a beautiful time of waiting and preparing! So much to be inspired by!
This week we did amazing things! Our Daily 5 is developing and we are learning to take our time practicing our reading and writing skills. We introduced many new sight words, including the words it, did, do and a. We are counting on and are recognizing numbers to 100! We began learning about our five senses, focusing on the sense of sight with our Christmas tree lighting/decorating and we used our sense of touch with our “feely bags”.
We enjoyed a play performed by the 8th grade students and were captivated by Santa, Mrs. Claus and all of the elves!
We also had a great time welcoming Mr. and Mrs. Dolan, the owners of the Cleveland Indians at our school. We rallied together to honor the Indians great season and showed our spirit by dressing in our Indians gear for this great opportunity!
WOW…what an incredible week!
Santa Shop is next Thursday, December 8th from 12:30-1:00. Children often love shopping for themselves on this day. Please discuss your expectations with your child in regards to who they should buy for and the amount of money to spend on each person. You are welcome to sign up and help your child shop on this day. :)
Please note the date change for fabric turn in is on Tuesday, December 6th. This will allow more time and love to be put into our special project. Thank you for your understanding! :)
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
Enjoy your weekend! :) :) :)
