This week in Visual Art for for Monday 19th, 2016

 

Preschool:Each student created patterns on a Christmas Stocking. Students were encouraged to problem solve and generate ideas through exploration.

 

Kindergarten: No Classes- Christmas Break

 

First:  Each student created their own Christmas Mitten. They used different media techniques and processes to communicate ideas, experiences and stories.

Students described how different materials, techniques, and processes cause different responses.

 

Second: No Classes- Christmas Break

 

Third and Fourth: Students listened and observed the online book “The Miracle of the Poinsettia”. This was a good example of a deeper meaning behind the lovely “Poinsettia”Christmas plant.

Afterwards, they painted with watercolors. They designed the organic leaves on the poinsettia plant.

 

Fifth: No Classes- Christmas Break

 

Sixth: No Classes- Christmas Break

 

Seventh:  Students studied the Art History Timeline. They utilized Google Doc’s to create a presentation of an Era in art history.
Eighth: No Classes- Christmas Break
