Hale Farm Pic 2

The fourth-graders spent a gorgeous fall day going on an exciting field trip to Hale Farm and Village. Here they learned what life was like for Ohio settlers in the 1800s. The students had the opportunity to explore many of the village’s features, and they particularly enjoyed visiting the glassblower, school teacher and blacksmith. Since it was the village’s annual Fall Harvest, the kids also learned how the settlers made apple cider and apple butter, and they even tried a few tasty samples. Hopefully it will be a field trip they never forget!
