Happy Fall LL1! The air has started to become crisp at night and leaves are falling rapidly! LL1 remains warm and the learning is at an all time high!
We began our week with a visit from Johnny Appleseed. He told great tales of his travels, we sang songs, and reenacted encounters with bears! We learned about gravity, made beautiful fall leaf rubbings, learned about why leaves are green and the role of chlorophyll in capturing sunlight, and we made amazing painted leaf art! We met a dog named Golly who guards a gas station and loves to smell flowers! We continue to learn many new sight words and are recognizing these words in print. Fr. Rob gave us a tour of Saint Ambrose Church and discussed the many religious symbols in the Church. We concluded our week with an amazing Special Person’s Day. So many kind and thoughtful people were on campus Friday to celebrate the good things SAS has to offer. We thank them for taking time out of their busy schedules to spend a morning with our students! Lots of laughter could be heard and stories will be told of the fun adventures enjoyed by all!
Enjoy a refreshing weekend with loved ones!
