Hello Amazing Kinder Families!
What an exciting week in kindergarten! All weeks are amazing, but this week, WOW! If you have not heard, we ALMOST caught a leprechaun!!! Yes, you heard me correctly…a leprechaun! Some children saw the little leprechaun dash out of LL1 and down the hall! However, true to leprechaun spirit, he got away! I tried to catch a quick picture but the camera was not fast enough! Maybe next year!!!
We learned who St. Patrick was and what the meaning of the shamrock really is. Ask your children if they can recall all of the good things St. Patrick did to share the word of God. We read our how to catch a leprechaun sentences and made leprechaun traps. We took a math test and the children did OUTSTANDING! We went on a picnic and found foods that began with the sound of /p/. There are just too many great things to list! We are so busy in LL1! :)
Easter break is around the corner! Reading pouches will not go home next week however, please continue to read with your child daily (the reading pouches will resume on Monday, April 3rd). Visit the SuperKid website and check out so many amazing stories and games for continued practice. You can also go back and review old SuperKid books where there are so many stories which are perfect for phonetic practice!
Have a wonderful weekend!
