I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday… there is so much to be thankful for!
Now as we begin the season of Advent we focus on “Lighting the Way to Peace”. Today your children are bringing home a paper Advent wreath to place in their rooms as a reminder of the season. We also made a special Advent wreath for our classroom door.
This week we will begin exploring our senses. We will begin with our sense of sight. On November 30th we will be decorating our Christmas trees in our room. Your child is welcome to bring in an ornament to place on our tree (either an extra family ornament or a homemade one). Please initial the ornament so that it can be returned to you before Christmas break. Next will be our sense of touch. Please have your child bring in a “feely bag” for sharing. This bag should be a brown lunch bag with at least five different items with distinct textures. These bags will be returned to you.
LL2 will be visiting the Santa Shop on December 8th at 10:00 am. Please send in any money with your child that day in an envelope labeled with who they should shop for. The #1 question always asked by kindergarten students is if they are allowed to by something for themselves, please have this conversation with your child before they visit the shop.
Please also remember the fabric strips for our special project!
December is going to be a busy, busy month!!
