Dear Third Grade Parents and Friends,
Thank you to the families who have contacted me regarding the addition of a new student in Ms. Graber’s classroom. I can understand your concern. Thanks for your question and I can understand your concern. I am not aware of a “cap” on class size but I proceed carefully in making enrollment decisions. I proceeded prayerfully and cautiously with Ms. Rego, Ms. Graber and Father Bob in this decision.  There are greater needs in Ms. Rego’s class and we felt that even though there were a few more children in Ms. Graber’s, the fit was better.  I also discussed with the new student’s parents that we needed to make sure the addition of their child was a good one for our current students as well as for their child.
The students have excellent teachers with aides to provide the proper support for each child.  That, along with the work I am doing to increase intervention services for our struggling students so that the teachers are freer to teach all of the children are some of the reasons for the decision. Our new student is already proving to be a wonderful addition to our school family.

Each child in our school is deserving of the very best we can offer. I don’t believe in enrolling students just for the sake of having more children in our school.  I can promise you that supports are in place so that each child here receives everything he/she needs. Please trust that.  I hope that parents will help their children welcome Nathan and his family, and will stay in touch with Ms. Graber and/or me for their children’s benefit. If you would like to meet in person to discuss this further, please let me know.

Thank you for your care and partnership!
Blessings,
Lisa Cinadr
