The NOAA Research Project

Students worked on the NOAA project this week! They learned about flooding issues and began to discuss how to create models within ArcGIS to determine vulnerabilities.

Students in Kindergarten and 1st grade completed a Flooding Solution Makerspace using materials to develop prototypes that could prevent flooding.

2nd – 6th grade learned about flooding issues through NOAA and NASA curriculum, then began to brainstorm geospatial solutions.

7th grade began working on GIS concepts and a Google Earth investigation lab with College Credit Plus students!

8th grade began working on Computer Science Engineering concepts and went through a chapter review quiz with College Credit Plus students!
