Saint Ambrose Catholic School Launches HOPE Scholarship to Support Students Continuing Their Catholic Education
Saint Ambrose Catholic School is delighted to announce the creation of the HOPE Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by the Safran Family and established in 2026. The scholarship is designed to help students continue their Catholic education at an all-girls or all-boys Catholic high school, reflecting the Safran family’s generous desire to bless families and support students on their faith-based academic journey.
“It is wonderful that the Safran Family has opened this scholarship to our students who will be attending Benedictine, Magnificat, Saint Edward, Saint Ignatius, and Saint Joseph Academy,” said Mrs. Brousek, Saint Ambrose Scholarship Coordinator. “The HOPE Scholarship reflects what we value most at Saint Ambrose—forming students not only academically, but spiritually and personally. It provides an opportunity for students to continue growing in faith, confidence, and character as they begin the next chapter of their Catholic education, while helping with the financial expense of high school.”
The Safran Family’s gift is inspired by their gratitude for the power of Catholic education. Their own daughter’s experience at Saint Ambrose Catholic School and Saint Joseph Academy highlighted how faith-based education nurtures not only academic growth, but also personal development, leadership, and character.
“We love the word HOPE—like the word love, it holds power,” shared the Safran Family. “It is God’s way of helping us see possibilities. We believe that growth comes from nurturing curiosity, determination, and character—not just grades.”
The HOPE Scholarship is open to current 8th-grade students who will be rising 9th graders for the 2026–2027 school year and have been accepted to an all-girls or all-boys Catholic high school. There is no GPA requirement; applicants must be students in good standing with school administration.
Applicants are encouraged to reflect on their personal growth through middle school, their aspirations for high school, and the connections they have built through their Catholic education. The HOPE Scholarship demonstrates Saint Ambrose Catholic School’s commitment to supporting families and nurturing students as they carry their faith, values, and academic foundation into high school and beyond.
