Students Participate in Rachel’s Challenge
John Ham, Megan Oleksik, Emily Stibley, Gigi Ricciardi, Angela Falconi, Sam Ehrbar and Ben Gorecki participated in the Rachel’s Challenge Elementary program, along with students from other Catholic Elementary Schools at Saint Albert the Great on Wednesday, September 30. The speaker challenged the students to look for the best in others; dream big; choose positive influences; speak with kindness; and start your own chain reaction. The program is designed to instill values such as kindness, compassion, goal-setting, and acceptance at a young age. Rachel Scott, a Columbine High School shooting victim, modeled this way of life and believed that if one person showed compassion it could start a chain reaction of the same. Her hands of kindness are now reaching all over the world.
