Buddy Benches are Here!
We thank the Seventh Grade students for leading us in a beautiful prayer service to bless our buddy benches and each other. Because of the suggestion of a student last school year, we now have two Buddy Benches on our playground. Students are encouraged to sit there if they are feeling lonely or without friends at recess. Other students are encouraged to pay attention and invite someone sitting there to be their buddy.
There are a few rules for the Buddy Bench:
- If you choose to sit on the bench, you MUST say yes to the first buddy who invites you to play or walk and talk.
- If you see someone sitting alone on the bench, be a buddy and invite him or her to play or walk and talk.
- Two or more buddies sitting on the bench should turn to each other and invite each other to play or walk and talk.
- Share Buddy Bench time with others.
