VALENTINES:

Each student needs to bring in 35 BLANK Valentines for one of our activities on 2/14. The Valentine’s must have some sort of space to write a sentence on the card itself. The Valentines can be made at home with colored paper/decorated and left blank or store bought. I have found great ones at the Dollar Tree and Target. Please do NOT have the students write on, complete, or put names on these Valentine’s at home ahead of time. We do an activity all in class together on the 14th that involves a personal note to each classmate. Each student will then go home with over 30 positive, uplifting, and special notes written uniquely for them.  If students do not have cards for this day, we will have colored paper for them to use and make cards in class that day. It is OK if you choose not to send Valentines in, but if anyone would like to bring an extra box that would also be helpful! :) Thank you! Please do not have students bring these in until 2/14.

VALENTINE CARD BOX:

Students will need to bring in some type of bag, box, or container to keep their Valentines in they get on 2/14. In the past I have seen shoe boxes brought in decorated for the holiday, recycled shipping boxes (they can use paper at school to decorate the box with if brought in plain), a bag (brown, shopping, or even grocery day) sometimes even with handles, or anything else you can be creative and come up with. Students typically enjoy decorating their box at home and showing it off that day, but that part is up to you. Please make sure the student’s name is printed on the box. If a student does not have a box/bag that day, we will have a grocery bag available for them to use. Please do not have students bring this in until 2/14.
