Visual Art Update for Friday October 1st, 3rd, & 5th

Preschool: Each student practiced their fine motor skills while cutting out sh

Kindergarten: Students learned about the artist “Vincent Van Gogh”. They painted sunflowers and learned about composition.

First: Students learned how to draw in perspective. They created a pumpkin patch using chalk pastels.

Second:
Each student finished their space painting. They switched gears and began a STREAM project. The project will be all about Spiders.

Third: Students started a collage on all about owls. They experimented with art materials by using them in unexpected and creative ways to express ideas and convey meaning.

Fourth: Students started a collage on all about owls. They experimented with art materials by using them in unexpected and creative ways to express ideas and convey meaning.

Fifth: Students finished their space rover using TINKERCAD.
Tinkercad is an online collection of software tools that help people all over the world think, create and make. It is an introduction to Autodesk, the leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software.

Sixth: Students finished their Cubism Self-Portrait. They generated and idea and engaged in thoughtful planning when solving a visual art problem.

Seventh: Students began a collaborative project. Each student designed a feather using paints and a monochromatic color scheme. There will be two large wings that we will have on display during November Open House.

Eight: A collaborative project is underway. Students are learning about Cardinal Virtue verse Capital Sin. Each student will create an artist statement before they begin a painting. They will utilize the paints to express the meaning of Cardinal Virtue or Capital Sin.
