Visual Art Update for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday January 14th, 16th, & 18th

2019 Theme:
“ . . . your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.”
Matthew 5:16

Preschool: Students learned about printmaking. They used celery sticks to print fish scales.

Kindergarten and First: STREAM with Mrs. Niedermyer. Students will engineer a rollercoaster while using their imagination.

Second: Students created a textured seascape collage (representing the Red Sea from the bible).

God told Moses to lift up his staff over the Red Sea. Moses did, and God sent a strong wind that blew all night and parted the water. The Israelites began to walk across the dry land, and there was a wall of water on each side of them.

Third: STREAM Design and build using found objects to create recycled art. Students are learning about animal adaptations.

Fourth and Fifth: Each student has linked ideas in their design to tie in emotion and mood. They are creating a piece of art that represents the Bible verse Matthew 5:16.

HSP: Each student started researching ideas for the “Respect Life” Art Contest.
