Visual Art Update for Monday, Wednesday & Friday April 24th & 26th

Preschool: No classes

Kindergarten: Each student learned about the artist Matisse. They created a bouquet of flowers. This project helped students with fine motor skills while cutting and pasting. Afterwards, they painted the flowers in the vase.

First :Each student learned about the artist Matisse. They created a bouquet of flowers. The students discovered, selected and combined art and design elements to communicate subject matter in various visual forms.

Second: Each student created a design on a placemats for the Saint Ambrose Woman’s Guild Tea. Their artwork demonstrated a spring theme with a Bible verse.

Third: Students experimented with oil pastels. They learned about the different techniques of blending and shading.

Fourth: Students experimented with oil pastels. They learned about the different techniques of blending and shading.

Fifth: Students participated in rock painting for the community service day. They were inspired by God’s creation.

Seventh: Students painted rocks for community service day.

Eight: Students finished a silhouette self portrait. They were inspired by their Catholic faith and incorporated design elements into their work.
