Visual Art Update for Monday, Wednesday & Friday February 25th & 27th and March 1

Preschool: Each student created a collage of a dinosaur. This was a collaborative project with the preschool theme of the week.
Dinosaurs

Kindergarten: Students learned about the artist Georgia O’keeffe. They created a composition of objects in the middle of the page and cropped it closer to the viewer.

First and Second: Dr Seuss week was the theme this week. Each student created a drawing of the “Cat in Hat”.

Third: Students experimented with their watercolor paints while creating an underwater seascape.

Fourth: Each student finished their one point perspective drawing on the inside of a room.

Fifth: Students grouped together to research famous buildings with interesting architectural design.

Sixth: Students learned two point perspective drawing. They created a cityscape.

Seventh: In groups of two students researched outdoor sculpture. For example, they observed the famous “Free Stamp” in Cleveland. They put together a slide presentation on the details of the artwork. They will present this next week in class.

Eighth: each student learned about Medical Illustration as a career. They utilized Mrs. Hamzik’s science books on human anatomy.
