Visual Art Update for Wednesday and Friday April 30th, May 2nd, &4th
Collaboration with Library “Right to read Week”
Preschool:
Kindergarten: Students read aloud the book: Matisse The King of Color by Laurence Anholt Read Aloud by Allie Lamb. Afterwards, students designed a collage.
First: Students created a habitat collage part of a Cross Curricular project with science.
Second: Students learned about coil pottery. They created their own coil pots.
Third: Students created a chinese scroll painting. They learned about brushstrokes and landscape painting.
Fourth: Students created a radial design using a CD. They measured and used angles to compose the design.
Fifth: Students created a refile radial design with paper.
HSP: Finish monochromatic paintings.
