Visual Art Update for Wednesday & Friday December 11, 13, 15

Preschool:

Kindergarten: Students named and pointed out subject matter with details. They described different ways that an artwork expresses an emotion.

First: Students learned how to blend pastels. They integrated warm and cool colors while measuring the subject matter on the paper.

Second: Students identified and used design elements to create an image of the Nativity with paint.

Third: Students used their imaginations to create a patterned elf foot. They incorporated the art elements.

Fourth: Students finished their perspective drawing. This was a STREAM Division MATH problem.

Fifth: Each student selected and used the elements and principles of art and design to
communicate understanding of an interdisciplinary concept of fashion design. They created their own Christmas sweater drawing.

Sixth: Students continued working on their sarcophagus. They added hieroglyphics and egyptian designs.

Seventh, Eighth: Students demonstrated craftsmanship skills while creating a drawing of Jesus using ebony pencils.
