Preschool:Each student created their own self portrait. They learned about measuring (proportions).
Kindergarten: Students are working on the “2017 Earth Day” Poster Contest. Students will develop their imagination and creativity.
First: Students are in the process of creating a animal silhouette. This is a STREAM project. They will be designing a zoo. The students learned about shelter, food, and habitats of various animals.
Second: Each student created a three dimensional sculpture using paper. They manipulated the paper into different shapes and sizes. Students developed the ability to use materials.

Fourth: Students learned about the “THE MAGICAL GARDEN OF CLAUDE MONET”. They created their own watercolor painting of water lilies. They also learned about the style of impressionism.

Sixth: Students learned about “OPT ART” and related artists. They created an original optical illusion while designing patterns and using the principle of design “repetition”.
Seventh: Students started creating a design for the “2017 Earth Day” Poster contest. Each student learned about the process of art criticism.

For HSP students………
Students in art class will be learning about the American Glass Sculptor Dale Chihuly. Each student will participate in a collaborative art project. We need one used (washed out with soap) water bottle from each student. They will paint these bottles to create implied glass sculpture.
