March 13th, 15th, 17th Happy St Patrick’s day!
Preschool: Each student created a Saint Patrick’s Day Hat. They utilized their scissors to practice fine motor proficiency by cutting and pasting together a St Patrick’s Day Hat.
Kindergarten:each student designed a birdhouse. They learned about the process of “collage”.
First: Students are in the process of working on a STREAM project. Students observed the live footage of “April” the giraffe in the Animal Adventure Park in New York.They developed collage of a giraffe in it’s natural habitat.


Second: Students learned about the Bible story of “Daniel in the Lion’s Den”. They imagined a large Lion and created a three dimensional mane.They listened to the story of Daniel in the lion’s den. They focused on daniel’s devotion to God and the ability to rely on God for strength.
Third: Students created a monochromatic shamrock collage. They learned about the history of St Patrick’s Day and the meaning behind the “Shamrock”. They learned a monochromatic color scheme is created by taking any one of the twelve hues from the basic wheel and repeating it in various shades, tones, and tints.

Sixth:
Students learned about the artist Dale Chihuly. They created a faux glass sculpture.
They utilized color schemes to create a design on their sculpture.
Dale Chihuly (born September 20, 1941) is an American glass sculptor. His works are considered unique to the field of blown glass, “moving it into the realm of large-scale sculpture.”
Seventh: Students finished their watercolor paintings of the ecosystem of the ocean animals.
Eighth: Students in Mr Bolin’s class finished their Earth Day Posters and utilized the art period as a studio time. Mrs. Hamzik’s class finished their cultural masks by adding items to it.
