Preschool: Students experimented with watercolors. They learned how to adjust the brush and how to add water to blend the paint.

 

Kindergarten:  Each student experimented with the printmaking technique. They created a tulip print using a utensil “fork”. Students mixed primary colors to make secondary colors.

Second:  Students learned about the history of mosaic art. They developed the basic concept of the technique in making a mosaic.

Fourth: Each student finished their two point perspective drawing. Afterwards, they created a collaborative art project using letters and paint.

 

Fifth: Each student painted patterns and designs on a flower pot for the Saint Ambrose “Women’s Guild”.

 

Sixth: Students experimented with chalk pastels to render highlights and balance the composition. They created an original artwork that used an arrangement of objects as a metaphor or symbol.
