Preschool: No Classes Easter Break

 

Kindergarten: Students learned about the Artist: Eric Carle . Together we read the book  the “Grouchy Ladybug”. Afterwards, each student created a collage of a “Ladybug” in its natural habitat. They communicated the ideas and stories they seen in Eric Carle’s illustrations.

 

First:  No Classes Easter Break

Third: Students created a illustration of their favorite ice cream flavors. They used their imagination to come up with new and unusual flavors. They utilized the art elements of line, shape, and color.

 

Fourth:  No Classes Easter Break

Fifth: Each student researched a famous artist and learned about the artist’s life. They will present their artist to the class the following week via Smart Board using Google Presentation.

Seventh:  Students learned how to research and present a famous artist using Google Presentation. They learned to analyse and describe works of art. Some of the questions included:

What is his or her most significant contribution to art?

How is his or her culture reflect their artwork?

How did his or her personal life experiences affect their artwork?
