Visual Arts Week of September 5th -9th
Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others. By: Swift
Kindergarten: They explore and experiment with a range of art materials and tools to create and communicate personal meaning. Created Self-Portraits. They drew their faces and necks first, and background last.
First: No Classes due to the Labor Day Holiday
Second -Fourth: Learned about Saint Francis of Assisi and his love for the environment and animals. They finished their drawings of animals in their natural habitat.
Fourth Grade will begin a Unit on Native American Art in the next couple weeks. This will be a cross-curricular project with Mrs. Noga.
Fifth: Are in the process of creating their self-portraits. When they are finished they will create a short description of their artwork.


Sixth-Eighth: Finished their Self-Portraits. They incorporated a Bible Verse and/or Psalm that relates to them. When they finish they have been assigned an Artist Statement Flow Chart.
