It’s hard to believe that another week has passed.

The students had a wonderful week in first grade!

In religion we talked about how God is a good father and forgives us when we do things that are wrong.  We also discussed that God is always with us.  God is also the father of everyone so we are all brothers and sisters.  We also learned that God created us in his image and people, like God, can think, choose and love.

In math, we worked on some more puzzles that helped us practice counting to 120.  The students also took their first math test and did a great job!

In science, the students were given the opportunity to work with a magnifying glass and explore objects.  In addition to the magnifiying glass, the students also used their sense of hearing, listening, touching and smelling to explore.

In social studies we learned about being a good listener and making good choices.

In reading we read our firt Super Kids story and discussed problems and solutions.

We also received our first spelling list of the school year.
